With my new credit card in hand I decided that I could really do with a DVD recorder, I know it is not essential and given my current credit card debt it is probably a bad idea but I know you can pick up a DVD player for less than £20 in the shops so I did not expect to pay much for it.
I wandered into my local Comet and saw one that attracted my attention but the price was just under £160 slightly more than I intended to pay I decided to leave my purchase until I had had a chance to shop around.
On using some of the price comparision sites available I was able to find the same DVD recorder for sale online for £146. A saving of £16 as delivery was free.
Finding something on the internet being cheaper than in the high street was not a major surprise but whilst using these price comparison sites I found the same DVD recorder on sale for £200 from an online retailer. The difference between the highest price and the lowest price to buy the same DVD recorder was a whopping £54. This just goes to show that it is always best to shop around when you go shopping!
